Ginza has a pet. It starts as an egg on your profile, it hatches into a creature with a name you choose, and from then on it wanders your page · walking across your scraps, hiding behind your photo, and telling you when it is hungry.
The bichinho · a pet that asks you for things
It grows through four stages: egg, baby, teen, adult. It gets hungry, it gets dirty, it gets bored, and at night it wants the light off so it can sleep. Every one of those is something it will ask you for · and every one of them it will REFUSE when it does not need it. A full bichinho shakes its head at food. A clean one will not take a bath. You cannot rush it.
What you feed it decides what it becomes: mostly meat and it grows up a carnivore, mostly leaves a herbivore, a varied diet an omnivore.

Your friends can keep it alive · but only you can make it thrive
If you disappear, your friends can feed your bichinho · but only up to a point, and only if you let them. They can keep it from starving. They cannot make it happy. That is yours to do, and if you stay away too long it will tell them it misses you.

- Saudade: if you go quiet, it stops growing until you come back
- Leave it long enough and it can die · and it does not come back

Will my bichinho die if I stop logging in?
Yes, eventually · but not without warning. It tells you when it is hungry, it asks your friends for help when it is starving, and they can keep it alive while you are away.
Can I feed it as much as I like?
No. It refuses food it does not need · it will shake its head at you. Growing it takes real days.
