Ginza is an online community that connects people through a network of friends you can trust. We are the happiest social network!
Our commitment is to build a safe and welcoming space, far from the hatred of today's networks. A place to make friends, find people who like what you like, and be whoever you want to be.
This only works if everyone here plays their part, so we ask the same of you. Be kind. Treat other people with respect, including the ones you disagree with, and assume they meant well before you assume they did not. Hate, harassment, humiliation, and cruelty have no place on Ginza, and we act on them.
The rules below exist to protect that. They are not here to catch you out · they are here so that everyone can enjoy the place we described above.
By creating an account or using Ginza, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Ginza.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Ginza (further rules below, including one exception for family photographs). By using the service, you confirm that you meet this minimum age and that the information you provide about yourself is accurate.
We do not ask for your date of birth when you sign up · your age and your birthday are optional profile fields you fill in later, if you want to. Stating a false age or date of birth anywhere on Ginza, whether to get past our minimum age or for any other reason, is a violation of these terms. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we remove it. The minimum age itself has no exceptions; the paragraphs below set out how it applies to profiles that belong to a child and to photographs of children.
Profiles that belong to a child. A profile whose subject is a person under 13 is not allowed on Ginza in any form. This holds even where an adult sets it up, owns the password, supervises every post, or runs it on the child's behalf: a parent, guardian, relative, or teacher cannot open or keep an account that presents a child under 13 as its user. There is no supervised or family-managed version of a Ginza account, and permission from a parent does not create one. Such a profile may be moderated at any time, whether we notice it as it is created or discover it long afterwards. There is no point at which such a profile becomes settled or approved: if it later becomes apparent that the account is a child's, we remove it then, even if it has been active for a long time. This applies however we learn of it · from a report, from our own checks, or from what the profile itself shows.
Images of children. Except for the family photographs described in the next paragraph, your profile picture must not be a photograph of a child on their own, whether or not the child is you or a member of your family. We remove such an avatar and, where the account appears to belong to the child, we remove the account as well.
Family photos are welcome. A photo that includes a child alongside other people · a family portrait, a birthday, a holiday, a group of friends · may be posted in your albums, scraps, testimonials, and other content surfaces, and may be used as a profile picture. What we do not allow is a picture of a child by themselves. If you post photographs of a child who is not yours, please make sure whoever is responsible for that child is happy for you to do so.
Ginza is for real people. You may use a nickname or an invented name instead of your legal name, but what you present about yourself must be genuine and must not be used to deceive anyone. Except where one of the exceptions set out later in this section applies · profiles for pets, fictional characters, fan pages and jokes, and role-playing profiles · you may not:
· Pose as another real person, a brand, a business, a public figure, or a member of the Ginza team or of Kraftwire Software Inc.
· Use photos or videos of another real person, or AI-generated images of a person, as if they were you.
· Give a false date of birth, age, gender, location, or other profile detail in order to mislead, catfish, or defraud other users. Your date of birth and your age are the exception to every exception: they must be your own in all cases, including on a role-playing profile.
· Create a profile for a person who does not exist and present it as a real one.
Profiles for pets, fictional characters, fan pages, and jokes are welcome, as long as they are obvious for what they are and are not used to deceive anyone.
Role-playing profiles. Ginza allows profiles run as a role-playing character, where you write as someone other than yourself for a game or a story. The rules above on false details do not apply to the character you are playing, provided all of the following hold:
· You say so on the profile itself. The profile must state plainly that it is a role-playing character, somewhere anyone can see without opening a menu or asking you · the opening line of your About, or the display name. It must stay there for as long as the profile is used this way. A statement made once in a scrap, a comment, or a private message does not count, and neither does one you remove later.
· The character is yours to play. It must not infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property. Playing a character from a book, a game, a film, or a series, or using a name, logo, or artwork that belongs to someone else, is only allowed with permission from the rights holder.
· It is not a real person. Role-play is not a licence to pose as someone who actually exists, living or dead, or as a brand, a business, or a member of the Ginza team or of Kraftwire Software Inc.
· You are 13 or over. This exemption does not apply to anyone under 13, in any way. The person behind a role-playing profile must meet our minimum age exactly like every other user, and calling an account a role-playing character does not make it acceptable for a child to hold one. Nor does it work the other way round: playing a child character, or running a profile that presents a child, is not excused by role-play. Where a profile appears to belong to or depict someone under 13, we apply the Eligibility rules above and the role-playing exemption falls away entirely, including the rules on images of children.
· Nobody is being deceived. The exemption covers who your character is, not what you do. It is not a defence to harassment, fraud, catfishing, or any other breach of these terms.
Where a role-playing profile does not carry that permanent, visible statement, we treat it as an ordinary profile and apply the rules above to it.
We may ask you to confirm your identity or your age where we have reason to doubt an account, and we may freeze or remove any account we reasonably believe is fake, is impersonating someone, or is built on false details. See Moderation and enforcement below.
Your password. You must choose a secure password and keep it secure. That means one that is not easy to guess, that you do not use on any other site, and that you do not share with anyone, write down somewhere others can see, or send in a scrap or a message. Keeping it safe is your responsibility, not ours, and so is everything done under your account while it is signed in. Change it as soon as you have any reason to think someone else knows it, and tell us straight away if you suspect your account has been used without your permission. We will never ask you for your password, and no message asking you for it comes from us.
One person, one account (the one exception is Kraftwire Software Inc.'s own official accounts, which are always labelled as ours; the rules about your email address follow below). You may not:
· Hold more than one Ginza account, or run extra accounts to inflate your friend count, achievements, streaks, leaderboard position, poll results, or community membership.
· Create an account for someone else, or let another person use yours.
· Buy, sell, rent, trade, or otherwise deal commercially in an account, a display name, or a community. Handing a community you run to one of its members through the transfer feature inside Ginza is fine · selling it, trading it, or passing it over as part of a deal is not.
· Create a new account to get around a warning, suspension, or ban on an existing one.
Where we find duplicate accounts, we may keep one and remove the rest, together with the friendships, achievements, streaks, and community memberships they produced.
Your email address must be a real, lasting one. Temporary, disposable, and throwaway email addresses are not allowed on Ginza · the ones that give you an inbox for ten minutes, or a fresh address on demand to avoid handing over your own. Use an ordinary personal address, such as Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Yahoo, or the address your internet provider or employer gave you.
We block these providers when you sign up, and we block them again if you try to change your address to one later. Our list of them is refreshed every day, but it can never be perfectly up to date: these services register new domains constantly, and a brand new one may work for a short while before it is recognised.
If an address of this kind does get through, we freeze the account. A frozen account can still sign in and read Ginza, but it cannot post, comment, send messages, send friend requests, or edit its profile until the problem is fixed. Fixing it is entirely in your hands and takes a moment: change the address in your settings to an ordinary one and confirm it, and the freeze lifts by itself. You do not need to appeal, contact us, or wait for anyone to review it.
This can happen at any time, not only when you sign up. An address that was not recognised as disposable on the day you registered may be recognised later, once the provider's domains become known to us. If that happens your account may be frozen then, however long it has been since you joined and however normally you have used it in the meantime. Nothing about the passage of time makes a temporary address acceptable, and the remedy is the same whenever it happens.
Ginza is a place for people, not for scripts. Apart from the two standing exceptions at the end of this section, and anything we have given you written permission to do, you may not:
· Run a bot, script, macro, or any other automated system on Ginza, or operate an account that is not driven by a real person.
· Create accounts in bulk, or use an automated tool to sign up, log in, or accept friend requests.
· Reach Ginza through anything other than our own website and apps, including unofficial clients, headless browsers, and direct calls to our internal APIs.
· Scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-copy profiles, member lists, photos, scraps, messages, or any other content, whether with a tool or by hand, including for the training of AI models. Quoting or saving something you came across in normal use is not what this means.
· Get around rate limits, CAPTCHAs, or any other technical measure we use to keep automation out.
· Generate fake activity of any kind: mass friend requests, mass community joins, repetitive scraps or comments, artificial views, or inflated achievements, streaks, or leaderboard standings.
Two exceptions. Search engines may index the pages we publish publicly, in line with our robots.txt. Kraftwire Software Inc. may operate its own official accounts and automated features, such as service announcements and notifications, which are clearly identified as ours.
We may freeze or remove any account we reasonably believe is automated, and we may reverse the activity it produced. See Moderation and enforcement below.
Be kind, and treat the people here with respect. Do not use Ginza to harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm anyone. Ginza is a social network where users post their own content and communicate with each other. We take user-generated content seriously and apply the following rules to every part of the service (scraps, testimonials, photos, videos, communities, forums, comments, direct messages, profile fields, and display names). The rules themselves are the same everywhere. How we find breaches is not: public text is screened automatically, photos and videos are not screened at all, and the contents of private messages and group chats are never screened. Anything we do not screen reaches us only when somebody reports it · see Moderation and enforcement below.
· Zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. We do not allow content that is pornographic, sexually explicit involving minors, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, violent, harassing, defamatory, fraudulent, or otherwise illegal. We do not allow behavior intended to harass, threaten, stalk, dox, or impersonate other users.
· Do not attack the service itself. Do not spam, bypass or probe our security, or interfere with anyone else's use of Ginza. Automation, scraping, and fake engagement are covered separately under Bots and automated use.
· In-app reporting. Profiles, scraps, testimonials, comments, direct messages, chat photos and videos, forum threads and community posts all carry a Report button. Tap it, choose a reason, and the report goes straight to our moderation team · for anything that carries the button, no email or external form is needed. Three things have no Report button of their own: album photos, media in somebody's About, and a community taken as a whole. For those, report the post or the profile behind it, or write to support@ginza.com.br, and we will handle it exactly the same way.
· In-app blocking. You can block any other user from their profile or from any of their content. Blocking immediately hides their content from you, prevents them from messaging you, prevents them from sending you friend requests, and removes any existing friendship.
· Honest reporting required. When you report another user, post, or community you must describe in your own words what happened (what the user did, where, and when). In-app reports without a substantive explanation are rejected by the system. Submitting reports that are false, retaliatory, vexatious, or used to harass another user is itself a violation of these Terms. We log the identity of every reporter, and abuse of the reporting system can result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent ban of the reporting account, in addition to any action taken against the reported content.
· Action within 24 hours. We commit to reviewing reports of objectionable content and abusive users within 24 hours of receipt. Where we agree the content or behavior breaches these terms, we will eject the offending content from the service and, where appropriate, suspend or permanently ban the responsible account. We may take action faster, including before review, where content is clearly illegal or poses immediate risk of harm.
By posting content on Ginza, you agree to be bound by these rules and to the moderation actions described in the Moderation section below.
Ginza carries no advertising, and you may not bring any. This ban is site-wide. Unless you have our prior written agreement and consent, you may not advertise, promote, market, or solicit for any third party anywhere on Ginza: not on your profile, not in a scrap or a testimonial, not in a community, a forum, a topic, a poll or an event, not in a direct message or a group chat, not in your display name, status, bio or any other profile field, and not in a community you own or moderate. There is no corner of the service where it is allowed. It covers every kind of third party, with no distinction between them: a company, a brand, a shop, a product, a service, an app, another website or platform, a charity, a campaign, a political party or candidate, a church, an event, a course, an investment, a cryptocurrency, or a private individual. It applies whether the arrangement is paid or unpaid, whether you are promoting someone else or yourself, and whether the promotion is obvious or dressed up as an ordinary post.
Among other things, this section covers affiliate and referral links, sponsored or gifted posts, coupon and discount codes, paid reviews and testimonials, dropshipping and resale offers, recruitment into multi-level marketing or matrix schemes, unsolicited direct messages selling something, and posting the same promotional text across many profiles, communities or conversations.
It applies in private messages and group chats exactly as it applies in public, even though we never screen them. As with every other rule in chat, we will usually only learn of a breach when somebody reports it · see Moderation and enforcement below.
What this does not stop. Talking about things you like is not advertising, and never has been on a social network. Recommending a film to a friend, joining or creating a fan community for a band, a game, a show or a brand, saying where you bought your shoes, sharing a link because it is interesting, naming your employer on your profile, or saying what you do for a living and linking to your own work are all ordinary use of Ginza and remain welcome. The line is solicitation and repetition: you cross it when the point of the post is to get people to buy, sign up, click, donate or join, rather than to talk to them.
Two things sit outside this section. Kraftwire Software Inc. may promote Ginza itself and its own features, which are always clearly identified as ours. A community may promote its own activity to its own members, such as an event it is running inside Ginza.
If you would like to advertise on Ginza, write to support@ginza.com.br and ask. We may say no, and we may say yes on conditions, but nothing is permitted until we have agreed to it in writing. Anything posted without that agreement may be removed without notice, and repeated or commercial-scale breaches are treated as spam under Moderation and enforcement below.
You keep the rights to the content you post on Ginza. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it for the purpose of operating the service. You are responsible for what you post.
You may only post content on Ginza that you have the right to share. This applies to role-playing profiles too: playing a character from a book, a game, a film or a series needs the rights holder's permission, as set out under Real people, real details above. Do not upload, post, or share text, photos, videos, music, artwork, community names, logos, or other material that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
If we receive a valid report of copyright or trademark infringement, or if we otherwise discover infringing content, we may:
· Remove or hide the infringing content without notice.
· Issue a warning to the offending account.
· Suspend or permanently ban accounts with repeated or serious violations.
· Remove or rename communities that use infringing names, logos, or content.
We are not obligated to mediate disputes between users and rights holders. If you believe your work has been used without permission, contact us at support@ginza.com.br with details of the alleged infringement, your contact information, and a statement of good-faith belief.
We may review, remove, hide, or restrict any content or account that violates these terms, our Privacy Policy, or that we reasonably believe could harm users or the platform (one important exception below: the contents of private messages and group chats are never screened).
Depending on severity, our admins may:
· Delete or hide individual scraps, testimonials, photos, videos, comments, or reported messages.
· Freeze, suspend, or permanently ban accounts, including blocking the creation of new accounts.
· Freeze, remove, or transfer ownership of communities whose content, members, or owners breach our rules.
· Strip moderator or owner privileges from users who abuse them.
· Remove accounts we reasonably believe are fake, duplicate, automated, or impersonating someone, and reverse the friendships, achievements, streaks, community memberships, and other activity they produced.
· Retain a record of the action and its reason for safety, audit, and legal purposes, even after the content or account is removed.
We may notify you of actions taken against your account, your content, or a community you own. We are not obliged to, and there are cases where we will not, including where telling you would compromise an investigation, put another user at risk, or be unlawful. If your account is suspended or banned you will always be told, because you need to know. An appeal form is shown on your account whenever it is frozen, suspended, or banned. For any other decision · a post removed, a name change refused · email support@ginza.com.br and we will review it in exactly the same way.
Private messages are not screened. Direct messages and group chats are not read, filtered, or checked by our automated systems · the one thing that is checked is a group chat's title, which is screened like any other name · and no moderator sees them in the ordinary course. Moderation of chat rests entirely on you: if someone sends you something illegal, abusive, or otherwise against these terms, use the Report button on the message. Once a message is reported, that message and the few messages around it are attached to the report so our moderators can deal with it, and we act under the rules above. Reporting somebody's profile does the same for the last ten messages between the two of you, so that a moderator can see the exchange being complained about. This is a deliberate choice in favour of your privacy in one-to-one conversation, and it means we will usually not know about a problem in chat unless somebody tells us.
Automated screening: names, community names and descriptions, group chat titles, gift messages, requests to join a community, and other text you write are screened automatically, including by third party classification services. Photos and videos are not screened this way · the only automatic check on an image is that a new profile picture is compared against a short list of protected images, such as the Ginza logo. Names or text that our systems consider offensive, hateful, or impersonating may be rejected instantly, held for review by our moderators, hidden, or reverted. While a name change is under review, your current name stays active; we may deny the new name and you can submit a different one at any time. Accounts created with names that breach these rules may be kept hidden until a compliant name is approved.
Ginza, including its name, design, code, and branding, is owned by Kraftwire Software Inc. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the platform without our written permission.
Ginza is an independent social network operated by Kraftwire Software Inc. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to Google LLC, Apple Inc., or Orkut.com in any way.
Social sign-in through Google or Apple is offered purely as an authentication convenience and does not imply any partnership, endorsement, or affiliation between Ginza and those companies.
You can delete your account at any time from your settings, and if you cannot reach the app we will do it for you · see How to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, or that have been dormant for an extended period. What happens to your data afterwards is set out under How long we keep data in our Privacy Policy.
Ginza is provided "as is" and "as available." We do our best to keep things running, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kraftwire Software Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Ginza.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of London, United Kingdom.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top and, if the changes are significant, tell you by email or with an in-app message · the same commitment we make in our Privacy Policy. Continued use of Ginza after changes means you accept the updated terms.
