How to delete your account

To permanently delete your Ginza account, you must be logged in to the app:

1. Open the Ginza app and log in.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete account".
4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

What gets deleted

The following data is permanently deleted (with two exceptions, at the end of this section):

· Your profile, display name, bio and photo
· All scraps, messages and community posts
· Friend connections and community memberships
· Photos and media uploads
· Notification preferences and device tokens

Two kinds of record outlive the deletion, both described in our Privacy Policy under "How long we keep data": any moderation or enforcement action taken on the account, and any copyright or trademark claim involving it. We keep those for safety, audit and legal reasons even once the account itself is gone.

Retention period

Certain records may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being permanently purged. Aggregated, anonymised analytics data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely. The moderation and copyright records described above are kept for as long as we need them to run Ginza safely and to meet our legal obligations.
